Moreover, at many places, there are maids at home who clean and even cook too. This practice is common and they actually pay people to clean for them.
However, Japan has a diverse concept of cleaning which is actually very unique. They don't take it as a unpleasant obligation but it is a cultural thing which they can't really refuse but take part in it and encourage others as well.
