LAHORE: A delegation led by Peng Yu, Vice President of Provisional People's Congress of Standing Committee of SICHUAN, China called on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif here Thursday.
Ideas were exchanged regarding matters of mutual interest, promoting Pak-China relationship and enhancing cooperation in different sectors.
While conversing with Chinese delegation, Shehbaz Sharif said Pak-China friendship had no comparison globally and Chinese cooperation had set the basis of a new era in development and progress in Pakistan. He said under the vibrant leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, CPEC projects were being executed with extra ordinary speed which was surly a project of public welfare and development.
The Chief Minister said the delegation's visit was necessary in order to enhance cooperation in technology, industry, agriculture and other sectors and for this a delegation of Punjab Government would visit SICHUAN very soon.
Vice President Peng Yu at this occasion said Shehbaz Sharif had played a vital role in strengthening Pak-China relationship. He said they would promote trade and economic ties with the Punjab Government and also extended an invitation of visit of SICHUAN to the CM Punjab.
Provisional Ministers Mansha Ullah Butt, Sheikh Alla-ud-Din, Additional Chief Secretary, senior leader PML-N Khawaja Ahmed Hassan and other concerned officials were present at this occasion.-APP
