The government has decided to introduce online application system for Pakistani Visas for foreigners.

This was stated by Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan during a news conference in Islamabad on Tuesday.

He said that the government has taken bold and concrete steps for transparent processing of visa applications and NADRA has been directed to establish a centralized Data Bank of foreigners for this purpose.

He said that dozens of foreigners were allowed to enter Pakistan without valid documents in the past. He said that any foreigner who comes to Pakistan without any valid documents are being sent back by the same airline very next day.  He said such airlines are also being fined.

Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said now any foreigner would not be allowed to enter Pakistan without valid documents and security clearance.

The Interior Minister said that the blasphemous content on social media will strictly be blocked.

He said the government has written letters to Arab League, OIC and other concerned organizations to raise the voice against such acts and to evolve a joint strategy to prevent them.

The Minister said that Facebook administration has assured Pakistan for provision of needful assistance in this regard. He said that 42 websites have so far been blocked.-Radio Pakistan
