The National Assembly will resume discussion on 28th Constitutional Amendment bill in its session beginning at four p.m. in Islamabad today.
The bill was tabled in the House regarding extension of Military Courts period.
Following the discussion the process of voting on the bill will also be held today.
Earlier, Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid presented the bill in National Assembly for consideration yesterday.
Speaking on the first reading of the bill Shaikh Rashid Ahmad of Awami Muslim League, Syed Naveed Qamar of PPP and Shah Mahmood Qureshi of PTI supported the bill conditionally, explaining that the government should fulfill its commitments regarding fair trial, formation of national security committee and reforms in the judicial system.
In his address, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Mahmood Khan Achakzai opposed the bill.-Radio Pakistan
