Anti-polio drive kicks off in KP

ISLAMABAD: A three-day anti-polio drive kicked off in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and sixteen districts of Balochistan to administer anti-polio drops to children below the age of five years on Monday. 

According to Radio Pakistan, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, about 18,000 teams will take part in the campaign to administer anti-polio drops to more than 5.6 million children below the age of five years.

Anti-polio drops would also be administered to children in 77 Afghan refugees and TDPs' camps.
More than 1.7 mln children would be administered anti-polio  vaccination in Balochistan.

About 1.5 mln children would be administered anti-polio drops in Larkana division of Sindh during the campaign.
Strict security arrangements have been made for security of the polio teams. -APP
