SIALKOT: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel opened fire on woman who was crossing the Working Boundary on Thursday night near Sialkot, Aaj News reported.Â
According to the police sources, Rasheeda Bibi, 53, hailing from Sialkot district's Diawara village, crossed the border after losing her way. The woman was mentally ill, claimed police sources.
Later, Indian border authorities handed over her body to her family in the presence of Pakistan Rangers officials.
Meanwhile, a protest erupted in Bibi's native village, claimed that she had been shot dead by BSF personnel.
