WEB DESK: The specs for the smaller size Moto G5 have been leaked online today. The preliminary version of Moto G5 plus was leaked earlier this month. Â
A Portuguese web site Technoblog, provided the information regarding the Moto G5 (2017). The leaked information tells about the device that it will have a 5-inch full HD 1080p display. Also, it will powered by a Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor and an Adreno 505 GPU.
The information includes that Moto G5 will have 2BG RAM and 32GB of on board storage. The camera will come with 13MP rear facing shooter along with 5MP front facing camera. Moreover, these phones will be equipped with 2,800 mAh battery and will have Android 7.0 Nougat.
However, if the leaked information in this regard is accurate, then the Moto G5 would not be much upgraded device from it's predecessor. As the Ram, cameras and the on-board storage are similar to Moto G4. However, according to Android Authority, the actual upgrade might be the octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor.
For battery, it is also 200 mAh less than in Moto G4. This may contradict with FCC's listing of 3,000 mAh. Also, the listing of Technoblog could have sown 2,800 mAh instead of 3,000 mAh to show less capacity (specs shown on the box) instead of typical capacity (when battery cell is discharged) as hypothesized by GSM Arena. There are possibilities that compromise on battery may be done due the 5-inch Moto G5 also being small in size than 5.5-inch Moto G4.
For photos, like Moto G5 plus, there are no photos for Moto G5 have revealed. However, the regular G5 should be released with similar design language with only actual difference of it's smaller build.
