Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated Multan Metro Bus Project today.
Technical Advisor of the project Sabir Khan Sadozai told our Multan correspondent that the eighteen point five kilometers long track has been completed at a cost of over twenty-eight billion rupees. Initially thirty-five buses will be run and approximately ninety-five thousand people will travel by these buses daily.
He said escalators, lifts, generators, expansion joints and launching pads of the project have been imported from Europe.
The Technical Advisor said that the number of buses will be increased if needed.
He said the provincial government will also run shuttles on a feeder route to let commuters reach metro track from different parts of the city.
