Superstar Aamir Khan has been in news for his drastic weight loss for his upcoming movie Dangal. Few days back the video went viral, which showed Khan's hard work and dedication he put in to achieve his goals.Â
After the video went online, there were some fitness experts who called it impossible and alleged that substance use or steroids might have been taken to get that kind of body.
Aamir Khan, who has worked day-and-night for an epic transformation, hits back at the haters and responded to all the allegations in a fitting reply.
He said, "I have not used any substances. I think that the good rate to lose weight is roughly one pound a week. If you want to lose weight a little faster, then you have more of a calorie deficit. So, if you have calorie deficit of 500 calories a day, you lose one pound a week.
If you have the calorie deficit of 1,000 calories a day, you lose two pounds a week. That is considered to be on the higher side. When I started the weight loss process, I was doing double of that. Four pounds a week, I was losing for the first three weeks. Then I brought it down to two pounds a week.
So, I had 20 weeks to do that. If you do the math, you will understand that is how I got there. Immediately after PK, I was in the weight training mode for two years," Indian media reported.
'Dangal' has been labeled as a women-centric movie based on debutants Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra who plays Aamir Khans daughters Gita and Babita in the movie.
But, his fat-to-fit transformation became a bigger issue as how he put on 27 kilos to play the older Mahavir Singh Phogat and then went on to lose nearly all of it in the span of 5 months to play a thinner and more muscular younger version of himself in the movie.
The movie will hit theatres on December 23, 2016.
