How does the Queen spend her £340 Million fortune?

WEB DESK: Queen Elizabeth II was the talk of the town when she spent around £ 369 Million on the renovation of the Buckingham Palace. Being the most powerful monarch of the world, The Queen is worth £ 340 Million. So, the question arises, where does she spend it?

According to Business Insider, the Queen is provided £40.1 Million Sovereignty Grant, from which she spent £39.8 Million of the 12 months by the end of March. The sovereignty grant is the allowance given by the government to the Queen.

General property maintenance was £4.3 Million worth, which merely includes, changing of the bulbs, cleaning of the blocked drains and repairing leaked rooftops.

Cleaning, laundry, and other chores cost the Queen £700,000.

The staff team of the Queen has 431 members and the Buckingham Palace pays £19.5 Million worth of salaries. The gas and electricity bills of the last year were £1.6 Million.

The food and drinks expenditure was rounding off near £1.4 Million in the last year. As the Queen host numerous guests, and mostly tend to have a drink or two, the cost of wine for the Royal House last year was half a million pounds.

The technology systems in the Royal House were around  £2.6 Million. Print, postage, and stationery rounded up around a million pounds.
