WEB DESK: The 16th death anniversary of renowned pop singer Nazia Hassan is observed today. She was also known as †Nightingale of Pakistanâ€.
She spent her childhood in Karachi as well as in London. She arrived in the entertainment industry as a child artist and her most popular song was †Ap Jesa Koeâ€.
This song won a film fare award for best female playback singer. She was also glamorized by the media for her elegance, style beauty and voice, Radio Pakistan reported.
Nazia Hassan was a received Pride of Performance Double Platinum Award and Golden Discs Awards.
The pop icon Nazia Hassan died of lung cancer at the age of 35 on August 13, 2000, but her songs are eternal. Some of the songs were also featured in Bollywood movies and were appreciated very much.
Nazia Hassan's famous song Dosti with her brother Zohaib Hassan was remade and featured in Mahira Khan, Shehryar Munawwar and Adeel under the banner of Coke Studio.
