LAHORE: Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman have announced that the Eid al-Fitr festival, which marks the end of holy month of Ramadan, will be celebrated on July 6, Aaj news reported.
According to reports, , Mufti Rehman said that,they have received authentic testimonies of the moon sighting from various cities of includingTharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Zhob, Lahore etc.
On the basis of which, the central Ruet-e-Hilal committee announced that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated across the country on Wednesday.
Many key religious scholars, members of Ruat-e-Hilal Committee, and Met officials were present in the meeting.
Meanwhile, the meetings of zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees were held simultaneously in all key cities of the country to collect evidences.
The body gathered evidences about moon sighting from all the four provinces of the country.
