Young motorcyclists, mostly without helmets, could be seen doing one-wheeling on roads of the twin cities including Murree Road, Kashmir Highways, 9th avenue, 7th avenue, Committee Chowk, Nawaz Sharif Park road and Islamabad Expressway.

Suleman, a car driver told APP that youngsters not only endanger their own lives but also pose a serious threat to others by doing one wheeling. They also interrupting the traffic flow," he added.

He said that these young one-wheelers were often seen performing dangerous stunts which create problems for him during driving.

Some of these motorcyclists are arrested from different areas of the city by the traffic police, but this trend is increasing every day particularly on the occasion of Independence Day, he said.

The people urged the authorities to take effective measures to curb this dangerous trend.

An official of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) said that ITP had held a number of motor-biker due to one-wheeling and bike stunts and challan tickets were also being issued to the violators.

The official, however, added that it was difficult for the ITP personals to end on-wheeling in capital as bikers mostly succeed to dodge them.

He said that ITP was also carrying awareness campaign to stop these activities.
