KARACHI:- Chief Secretary Sindh, Sajjad Saleem Hotiyana has directed the Secretary Sindh Culture Department to take measures for preservation of cultural heritage of Sindh.

He said this while chairing a high-level meeting at his office here on Thursday, said a statement.

The CS Sindh directed that all available resources be employed and appropriate steps be taken to preserve the cultural heritage of Sindh.

Consultative members of the Committee for Cultural Heritage of Sindh, Hameed Haroon, Dr. Kaleemullah Lashari, Suhail Ahmed Kalhoro, Secretary Works and Services Qazi Shahid, Director Archive Qasim Ali Qasim, Additional Secretary Culture Bashir Ahmed and concerned officials were also present.

The meeting held discussion of issues related to the historical building of Amarpur Asthaan situated in Tando Adam.

The CS Sindh directed the Deputy Commissioner Tando Adam to present his proposal with in two days about re-construction and repair work of the road and wall which adjacent to the Amarpur Asthaan.

The meeting directed the officials of the Sindh Culture Department to consult with the Secretary Finance and the Secretary Law about provision of funds for preservation of historical buildings in Sindh.
