ISLAMABAD: Former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf has been granted one-day exemption in Ghazi Abdul Rasheed murder case by the Additional Session Judge, Wajid Ali on Saturday, whereas the court summoned him for appearance on March 15.

According to the sources, Musharraf's lawyer submitted a petition in the court for an exemption in regard to the hearing of Ghazi Abdul Rasheed murder case, whereas the opposition lawyer Asad Advocate raised an objection regarding the petition and claimed that rules and regulations should be the same for every accused. he also mentioned that Musharraf has not even submitted his medical report in the court. He therfore demanded the Additional Session Judge to terminate his bail and issue a warrant against him.

On the other hand, the court dismissed opposition's arguments and granted Musharraf one-day exemption in Ghazi Abdul Rasheed murder case.
