GHOTKI: 36-inch gas pipeline was blown up near Obara town in Ghotki district in Sindh, due to which two people were killed and also suspended gas supply to near by areas, on late Tuesday night, Aaj News reports.
According to the sources, explosives were located near the gas supply arteries, the pipeline was carrying natural gas to Qadirpur gas field of Punjab from Mirkosh village of Ghotki. The police claimed this blast was a terror attack.
Repair work is underway at the site as fire fighters successfully extinguished the blaze.
The law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.
The officials expects the gas supply to be restored soon.
