The list of prisoners was exchanged between the two countries last week. Out of the 279 civilians (as stated by Indian authorities), 85 are fishermen. In contrast, Paksitani authorities claim that except for the 85 fishermen, 342 civilians are also confined within Indian prisons. Pakistani authorities have further stated that 32 Prisoner Of Wars (POWs) are also included within the list provided by Pakistan.
According to the list forwarded by the Pakistani officials, 136 Indian fishermen and 52 other Indian civilians are under Pakistani custody.
