A few days ago the MeeGo team at Nokia had left the company, thus ending development on the platform. Former Nokia employees  using technology abandoned by the handset maker, are all geared to launch its first smartphone later this year, entering an already crowded market.
The startup said in a statement, "The Jolla team is formed by directors and core professionals from Nokia's MeeGo N9 organisation, together with some of the best minds working on MeeGo in the communities,"
Jolla said hey will unveil the first model later this year, together with international private investors and partners and will focus on designing, developing and selling new MeeGo-based smartphones.
According to analysts that the company has to struggle hard in order to make place in the market in the presence of competitions Like Apple, Google and Samsung.
