3G technology "funda"

However, a declaration for the initiation of the said service made in a war ridden neighboring country comes nothing short of a led down for us. As the officials in the ministry of telecommunication of Afghanistan, announced to implement the service of 3G in Afghanistan within the next 1 month.

This declaration by our neighboring country clearly indicates that initiating the 3G technology within Pakistan should not be much of a problem. The irony of this announcement is that 3G technology is about to be implemented in a country where rail transport has never properly existed. It is not that I am against the development of Afghanistan, it is only that the people of Pakistan are deprived of a technology (3G) which should have had made its entry within the telecommunication industry a long time ago.

3G, which makes our handheld devices have access to high speed internet besides having access to multimedia services including visual and audio services is nothing short of a miracle with the poor services we get even on our personal computers.

It keeps perplexing me how even in these times we have managed to stay behind in what seems like the dark ages, as we don’t even have access to what is now globally regarded as an ordinary facility being equivalent to us flicking on a button - to turn a light bulb on - this remains truly an obscurity.
