But the emergency is still imposed at the airport premises.

All the planes took on hold and flights were delayed due to the incident, said Civil Aviation authority.

The fire erupted in the parking lot of Islamabad airport, the Capital Development Authority  (CDA) has dispatched  fire brigade squad  and police who reached the scene and were able to take control of the fire.

The reason of the fire is said to be the short circuit..
