KARACHI: The law and order situation in Karachi worsened on Saturday amid several reported firing incidents within the city. The incidents have claimed 5 lives.

Reports have indicated that the notorious area of "Katti Pahari" witnessed the majority of these unfortunate incidents. Unknown armed men were reported to have killed three men in the "Katti Pahari" area. Two of the deceased were brothers and were said to have an affiliation with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Angry mob set several motor cycles on fire post the firing incident, protesting against the incident. The entire area has crippled as a result of the 3 deaths.

Earlier, 2 people were also reported dead as a result of similar firing incidents in different parts of the city.
