LAHORE: A resolution has been submitted within the Punjab Assembly (PA)with respect to the formation of South Punjab Province. The Resolution was submitted on Saturday.

The Resolution has been submitted by opposition leader Raja Riaz.

"The resolution should be approved in the Punjab Assembly; the same way it got accepted in the National Assembly.” Riaz added.

Raja Riaz further added that the federal government would pass legislation with respect to the formation of the new province once it gets approved in the Punjab Assembly.
