Muqadas died on the spot while, the driver Pervaiz Ahmed sustained serious injuries, police told APP here on Wednesday.

She was coming to Vehari from her residence at Garden Town Lahore, to rejoin her duties after availing leaves.

The body and the injured, were shifted to Jinnah Hospital Lahore where condition of the driver was stated serious.

Muqadas was appointed as SP investigation in Vehari one month ago.

Her driver Pervaiz - a resident of Burewala- had lost her children in an incident of gas cylinder explosion one year back. The incident claimed lives of ten persons including maternal grand father and uncle of the children.
