On remaining four National Assembly seats, one each candidate from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Awami National Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Functional and an independent secured victory.

Apparently, as revealed in the results, the contesting political parties more or less secured the same seats which were once occupied by their party leaders.

According to unofficial results, Musa Gilani, the son of Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani secured 93106 votes to win the seat once possessed by a PPPP stalwart Shah Mahmood Qureshi and defeated PML- N's Abdul Ghaffar Dogar who bagged 42,819.

There were 338005 registered votes in this NA-148 Multan-I constituency and ECP had set up 219 polling stations for vote cast.

Another PPPP candidate from Vehari, Natasha Daultana also won the by-election on National Assembly seat fallen vacant due to death of her brother Parliamentary Secretary Azeem Daultana. Her closest rival in this NA-168 Vehari-II constituency was PML-N's Bilal Akbar Bhatti.

The ECP stated that Natasha Daultana secured 70146 votes while Bilal Akbar bagged 46,328 votes. There were 258233 registered votes in this constituency out of which 122086 were cast with a voter turnout of 47.28 percent. The ECP had set up 239 polling stations for the conduct of polls.

In NA-195 Rahim Yar Khan-IV, Syed Mustafa Mahmood won the elections on seat vacated by his predecessor and the then PML-F leader Jehangir Tareen, by securing 81745 votes. His closest rival was Maulvi Muhammad Tariq Chohan, an independent candidate who got 17946 votes. As many as 104,980 vote were cast out of total 270,763 registered votes with 38.77 percent voters turnout. The ECP had set up 206 polling stations for the by-election.

In yet another important constituency that was vacated by the then PML-N stalwart Syed Javed Hashmi, PML-N candidate Tariq Rasheed secured victory with 37089 votes. His closest rival was Liaqat Dogar of PPPP who got 24476 votes. There were 402981 registered votes in this constituency out of which only 64237 were cast with minimum voters turnout amongst the constituencies of election. The ECP had set up 295 polling stations for by-poll in this constituency.

In NA-9 Mardan-I, an ANP candidate Hamayatullah Mayar won the by-poll by securing 30766 votes and defeated Maulana Shuja-ul-Mulk who could get 24616 votes. Total registered votes in this constituency were 250459 out of which 58108 votes were cast with a voters turnout of 23.20.

Dr Azeemuddin Lakhvi, an independent candidate won the National Assembly seat from Kasur by securing 47477 votes. His closest rival was Malik Rasheed Ahmed Khan, another independent candidate who bagged 47213 votes. PPPP candidate in this NA-140 Kasur-III constituency Sardar Sarwar Dogar remained third with 30,257 votes.

District Coordination Office Kasur informed APP that according to unofficial results Azeemuddin Lakhvi secured 47477 votes to win the by-election. There were 230605 total registered votes in this constituency and the ECP had set up 249 polling stations for voters to cast their votes.

In PS-57 Badin-III, PPPP candidate Barrister Hasnain Mirza, son of former Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza and Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza won by-poll by defeating his rivals with a clear margin.

According to unofficial results revealed by District Returning Officer, Noor Muhammad Marri, the PPPP candidate Hasnain Mirza secured 40,901 votes to win PS-57 Badin-III polls. His closest rival was Syed Ali Bakhsh Shah who got 7866 votes. PML-N candidate Mir Manzoor Talpur remained third with 2568 votes.

There were 97479 total registered votes in this constituency and the ECP had set up 215 polling stations for vote cast.

In PP-44 Mianwali-II, PML-N candidate Adil Abdullah Rokhri secured the Provincial Assembly seat with 45500 votes by defeating PPPP's Malik Tariq Masood who bagged 36067 votes. Total registered votes in this Punjab Assembly constituency were 184558 out of which 84629 were cast with a voters turnout of 45.85 percent.

In PS-53 Tando Muhammad Khan-cum-Hyderabad, PPPP candidate Waheeda Bibi won election by bagging 30191 votes. Her closest rival was an independent candidate Mushtaq Ali Talpur who could get 13292 votes. Total registered vote in this Sindh Assembly constituency were 113812 out of which 45399 votes were cast with a voters turnout of 39.88 percent. The ECP had set up 112 polling stations for polling.

As for PP-18 Attock-IV, the final result was awaited at ECP by the time of filing this report, Malik Azam of PML-N was leading the polls by bagging over 36000 votes. His closest rival was stated to be Malik Amanat, an independent candidate who had got over 30000 votes.
