Public holiday on February 4 in Sindh, Punjab

It may be mentioned that Eid Milad-un-Nabi is falling on Sunday, February 5.

The Sindh government has taken the decision of public holiday in a meeting with Ullema at Governor House.

The meeting has also decided to lift pillion-riding ban on 11th and 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal in Karachi In Punjab, this decision was taken at a meeting presided over by Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for reviewing the security arrangements on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi at Chief Minister's secretariat here Thursday.

Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Auqaf Ehsan-ud-Din Qureshi, Members Assembly, Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and concerned senior officers attended the meeting.

Addressing the meeting Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif directed that foolproof security arrangements be made on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi and law enforcement agency be remained fully alert throughout the province.

While directing to constitute a subcommittee for reviewing the security arrangements, the Chief Minister said that elected representatives, Home Secretary and Inspector General Police should visit various districts, hold meetings with the Ulema and review security arrangements there.

He said that best arrangements of light should be made on the routes of processions of Eid Milad-un-Nabi throughout the province and generators should also be provided for this purpose.
