Islam started with one religion. The religion got divided into various sects after the Holy Prophet’s death. The concept of muwakhaat and brotherhood between the Muhajirs and the Ansars got lost.
The country was made for Muslims. But then it was torn into provinces…then tribal areas…then clans…then parties…then sects…and now, we stand at a point where humans are killed for their lives…they are killed for reasons upon which they never had and will never have control: their religion, language and sect. humans are killed in their country, a country for the creation of which their forefathers died.
Is this a fatal cycle? A cycle that starts and ends with blood of innocent?
Recently there was another case of a sectarian attack where gunmen open fired at and killed fourteen Shia people in Quetta, when they were on board a bus.
Killing has become a game in Pakistan, and human lives have lost all worth. People have actually lost their right to the fundamental practice of Islam: prayers.
Today, people are scared of going to mosques to pray…they are scared of celebrating their happiness at Eid…they are scared of going to work to earn a living…they are scared of protecting their country…they are scared of speaking their minds and hearts out…they are scared of those who can be crushed by God whenever He wills.
Quite a pathetic scenario of a country that is so overabundant with resources; having more than 60% of its population as youth!
