The officials claims that, "the explosion occurred due to the Electricity short circuit".

Aaj news reported that, three extremely powerful explosions took place and the building was caught on fire.

Police and rescue teams have been moved to the area. Fire brigades from Islamabad and Rawalpindi have rushed to the site. While the injured has been taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) hospital.

The building where the arms depot is located has collapsed due to the intensity of the blast.
