Ever since his return, he has been involved with multiple commitments and he is required to wrap them up all in quick time before he travels to Europe in early June for an extensive shooting schedule of Housefull 2.
"Akshay had certain professional commitments that he fulfilled immediately on his return from Europe", informs a source, "Post that he has been shooting non-stop for Joker as well as Desi Boyz. He is also busy with endorsement related appearances in the interim. For someone who is quite conscious of giving his body some good rest and doesn't shoot in the nights, the month of May has been an exception as he has been practically working double shifts."
This rush hour is also due to Monsoon season which is just round the corner. Since there are heavy rains expected from June till August at the least, the makers of Akshay's films are in a hurry to finish all shoots which are set in outdoors or involve huge sets.
"Joker has built a set at the cost of 3 crores and there are daily costs involved as well", says a unit member, "On the other hand, Desi Boyz is also fast marching towards the completion mark and there are plans to release the film before end of year. There is a lot happening simultaneously and Akshay's date diary is already blocked from June onwards."
Beginning June, Akshay starts shooting for Housefull 2. Since this would be an extensive shooting schedule and that too all abroad, he can't be expected to work in any other film during this time. Post that he is expected to go on his annual holiday with wife Twinkle and son Aarav.
"This is not all as around September/October timeframe, Akshay is expected to begin shooting for Milan Luthria's Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 while plans are also being put together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali-Prabhu Deva flick Rowdy Rathore. He has busy months ahead", continues the source.
No wonder, for at least one more week Akshay would have to go through the 16-18 hours-a-day grill. Perhaps Sajid Nadiadwala and Sajid Khan's Europe shoot for Housefull 2 may be his only hope for some well deserved getaway.
