'Dhoom 3' in 3D doesn’t interest Aamir

Back in Bollywood, ‘Dhoom 3’ is eagerly awaited especially after it was revealed that Aamir Khan is set to play the negative lead in the widely anticipated action franchise from the Yash Raj Films. Now, the latest news from the YRF stable is that producer Aditya Chopra wants to shoot Dhoom 3 in the 3D format. However Aamir Khan, who plays villian in the film, seems to have reservations.

Speaking to daily a source informed, "With the success of Haunted 3D, India`s first film in the new 3D technology, the Yash Raj banner felt that Indian audiences have opened up to 3D cinema viewing. That made them more confident to experiment with the new format".

However, while Aditya Chopra seems quite upbeat about the idea, Aamir Khan is not that really excited. "The 3D technology needs expertise and perhaps Aamir is not sure whether director Vijay Krishna Acharya (who last directed Tashan and wrote Dhoom 1 & 2 ) would be able to do justice to it", explains the source.

Another reason could be the fact that with 3D coming into picture, technology takes precedence over performance.

And Aamir, of course would never want his acting prowess to get over shadowed by some 3D technique.
