Death toll rises to 18 in Karachi blast

At least 15 people have been killed on the spot while forty-seven wounded in a blast at Rami Club's building located near Ghaas Mandi in Lyari.

But, on Friday three more people have lost their lives during treatment in hospitals. More than 40 injured have been shifted to different hospitals.

According to Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) initial investigation report, it indicated that the assailants had planted timer explosive device under a table in the club.

Investigation police officials said that two kilograms of explosives were used in the blast.

No one claimed responsibility for the bombing at the club. The health minister of the Sindh Saghir Ahmad said that the attack might be a result of a gang war.

Sharjeel Memon, Sindh information minister, visited hospitals and inquired about the health of the wounded. While talking to media Mr. Sharjeel said that the incident was being investigated and the culprits would be dealt with severely.
