Sources said that Rahat may come back to the home today.
The singer and his manager has been fined of Rs 15 lakh each under the Customs Act for carrying over $ 1 lakh undeclared while boarding a flight from Delhi to Dubai last week.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has received his passport from Indian authorities and he is expected to embark on a return journey to Pakistan tonight.
On Saturday, Rahat was charged with violation of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) and Customs Act.
His manager Maroof was also charged for similar offenses.
Earlier, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was released, 28 hours after he was detained at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport with undeclared currency worth US $ 124,000, or over Rs 60 lakh on February 13.
