The country singer, who is in the throes of a divorce from wife Tish, took to Twitter today to address the tape, which captures the 18-year-old giggling uncontrollably after puffing on the pipe with friends, reported Daily Mail.

"Sorry guys. I had no idea. I'm so sad. There is much beyond my control right now," he posted.

The video was shot at the 'Hannah Montana' star's home near Los Angeles, California, five days after she turned 18 on November 23.

But sources insist the pipe wasn't filled with marijuana. Instead, she is said to have been smoking salvia, a powerful hallucinogenic herb.

It is legally available for sale in California - where the video was shot - and in other states in America.

It is reported that the clip was shot by a friend, but later stolen.
