According to details, a convoy of security forces was on routine patrol in Matta, area of Swat. Meanwhile, militants opened fire on the convoy, injuring one security personnel.

After the incident, security forces imposed curfew in the area and conducted search operation.

The clash between security forces and militants took place during search operation in Matta. At least seven militants were killed in the clash.

The dead militants were identified as Ghafoor Rehman, Naseebullah, Ibrahim, Inayatullah, Jamal, Mohammad Ali and Azeem.

Security forces also imposed curfew in Shokh dara, area of Swat.
