Omer Bhatti has long been speculated to be Jackson’s fourth child from the singer’s reported one-night stand with Omer’s mum in 1983.
But the 25-year-old Norwegian was said to have confided in a close friend from Oslo, insisting the King of Pop feted him as an honorary son.
Omer, who was seated in the front row alongside the Jackson’s brothers and sisters at the star’s memorial service, purportedly said there was no biological link between him and the Thriller hitmaker.
“Michael is not my father. He and I were just very, very close. He was my best friend,” The Mirror quoted Omer as telling a friend.
He apparently added: ‘Michael always used to say I was like a son to him. But my true parents are here in Norway’.
“The reason I was asked to sit with his family at the memorial service is because I was Michael’s closest friend – not because I am his son.”
