Those were totally at loss to understand the wisdom of the “power that be “ in granting permission to a movie which is absolutely detrimental to the very idea of the creation of Pakistan.
A lawyer, while commenting on the sensitivity of the movie quipped, “should Indo-Pakistan friendship be at the cost of our national mooring”.
Leading members of intelligentsia, media men, and educationist also did not mince words in out rightly opposing the release of the movie.
They are of the view that the release of this movie may spark protests to further deepen the already adverse law and order situation in the motherland.
Some activists have threatened raiding of the Cinema houses, if the permission to screen the movie is not withdrawn. They cautioned Cinema owners for the sake of safety of their cinema houses, they should refrain from screening this movie.
