Pierce Brosnan won't be charged over scuffle: prosecutor

The Irish-born actor, 54, who played British superspy 007 in four films before passing the baton to Daniel Craig, was alleged to have struck the photographer during an altercation on October 19.
However after reviewing evidence against Brosnan, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said Tuesday no charges would be filed.
"After a complete review of the investigation done by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, there is insufficient evidence to prove this case to a jury beyond a reasonable doubt," Deputy District Attorney James Garrison wrote in declining to file a battery charge.
Reports said Brosnan, who was accompanied by one of his children, took exception to being questioned by the photographer, identified as Robert Rosen.
Witnesses reportedly alleged Brosnan reacted by swearing at Rosen and punching him in the ribs before the photographer responded by kicking the actor in the stomach.
