Three Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) personnel were injured when unidentified attackers opened fire on Balochistan Interior Minister Zia Langau’s convoy in Mastung district on Thursday.

According to police, the convoy was passing through the area when it came under sudden gunfire. The three injured personnel were identified as Nasrullah, Samiullah and Zakaria.

Zia Langau remained unharmed in the attack, police said.

The injured personnel were shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.

Police personnel accompanying the convoy returned fire, forcing the attackers to flee the scene.

Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the assailants. Further investigations into the incident are under way.
