Paris Jackson has opened up about her past relationships, revealing that she secretly became engaged during a period when she and her former partner were struggling with drug use.

The 28-year-old singer, daughter of the late Michael Jackson, discussed her failed engagements during an appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.

Jackson said the earlier engagement was deeply meaningful to her despite the circumstances surrounding it. She also revealed that the engagement ring had been purchased with her own money without her knowledge.

“I don’t know if you could count the first one,” Jackson said, explaining that the relationship was still very real to her emotionally.

Jackson also reflected on her more recent engagement to musician and bandmate Justin Long. The couple, who had been together for around three years, split last year several months after Long proposed at a theatre.

The singer described the breakup as her second called-off engagement and spoke candidly about how her past experiences have shaped her view of love and relationships.
