Security forces killed 10 militants in two clashes in KP
1 min readTen militants were killed in two separate clashes with security forces in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday, according to ISPR.
In the first clash, militants attempted to attack security force checkpoints in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan district, but the attack was thwarted. Eight militants were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire.
In a separate clash in Dir district, security forces killed two more militants, according to the military.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants, who the military said had been involved in terrorist activities in the area.
Sanitisation operations were underway to search for any remaining militants, the military said, adding that counter-terrorism operations under the government’s “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative would continue.
