Anniqa Meraj crowned Miss World Pakistan 2026, set for Miss World debut
1 min readPakistan will make its debut at the Miss World pageant after Anniqa Meraj was crowned Miss World Pakistan 2026 and selected to represent the country at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival in Vietnam.
The 24-year-old business and economics graduate will compete in the international pageant, scheduled to take place from August 9 to September 5 in Vietnam, marking the first time Pakistan will officially participate in the Miss World competition.
Meraj, who is currently pursuing a master’s degree in auditing and accounting, said her long-term ambition is to become a state-authorised public accountant while advocating for children’s rights and girls’ education in Pakistan.
The crowning ceremony was held at Lahore’s Faletti’s Hotel, where Meraj received the title from Dr Shafaq Akhtar, Miss Pakistan Universal 2022, and Attaullah Gujjar, Mr Pakistan World.
According to the Miss World Organisation, Meraj’s participation represents a milestone for Pakistan on the global pageant stage.
She has previously represented the country in several international beauty competitions, including Miss Earth, Miss Global, Miss Cosmo, Miss Eco International and Miss Aura International.
Pakistan has expanded its presence in international beauty pageants in recent years through participation in Miss Universe.
However, Meraj’s appearance in Vietnam will mark the country’s first-ever representation at the Miss World pageant.
