The body of a foreign female tourist was recovered from a hotel room in Skardu on Tuesday, rescue officials confirmed.

According to rescue sources, the woman was found dead in the room and was shifted to a hospital, where doctors confirmed her death.

Officials said the female tourist reportedly belonged to Malaysia.

Initial information suggests she had already died before being taken to the hospital for medical assistance.

Rescue sources said the preliminary cause of death has been identified as a heart attack.

Authorities have initiated legal proceedings and further investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
