A public feud between Pakistani actors Deedar and Resham has escalated, with Deedar refusing to apologise despite intervention from Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari.

The dispute began during a private TV programme where Deedar labelled Resham a “toxic personality” and accused her of damaging others’ lives. The remarks triggered a war of words between the two.

As tensions grew, Bukhari stepped in, urging both actors to refrain from using inappropriate language and specifically asking Deedar to apologise.

She also praised Resham’s charitable work, calling criticism of a woman’s character — particularly her acts of charity — unethical.

Resham thanked the minister for her support, saying such friends are a blessing.

However, Deedar rejected the call for an apology, stating that no one could force her to do so.

In an Instagram video, she continued her criticism, referring to Resham’s past and claiming the latter once shared a close personal relationship with her, frequently visiting her home.

“Truth will come out,” Deedar said, adding that many people were already aware of the reality.

The controversy shows no signs of easing, with supporters of both actors continuing heated exchanges on social media.
