Former Punjabi film actor and dancer Deedar has levelled serious allegations against fellow actor Resham, igniting a fresh controversy on social media.

Speaking on a private TV channel’s Eid special show, Deedar described Resham as a “negative personality,” claiming her on-screen roles reflect her real-life behaviour.

“Resham is a talented actor, especially in negative roles, but she carries the same negativity in real life,” Deedar said. “She has ruined many homes and lives.”

The remarks have drawn attention due to the pair’s past friendship, which Deedar said lasted several years before ending on a bitter note.

She also issued a warning to Resham’s current associates, urging them to “stay cautious” and protect themselves.

In a sarcastic tone, Deedar referenced Resham’s charitable work and interest in cooking, suggesting she was aware of the “reality” behind such activities.

Deedar rose to fame with the Punjabi film Choorian and was once a prominent name in stage and film. She later left the entertainment industry after marriage.

Resham, meanwhile, remains a well-known figure in Pakistan’s television and film industry.

The controversy has triggered mixed reactions online, with users debating the credibility and timing of the allegations.
