Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on Monday that Pakistan Day marks a historic moment that laid the foundation for a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.

In a special message on the occasion, Nawaz described the Pakistan Resolution as a milestone in the struggle for freedom and called the day a manifestation of the “unforgettable beginning” of the Pakistan Movement.

She said unity, organisation, hard work, and honesty are essential for progress, and that the sacrifices of the country’s forebears require continued effort to achieve the true goals of freedom.

Punjab CM emphasised the importance of following the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to secure a respectable position in the international community and reiterated her commitment to making Pakistan a strong and dignified state in line with the founders’ ideals.
