684 Afghan Taliban fighters killed in two-day operations
1 min readThe Pakistan Army has inflicted significant casualties and military losses on Afghan Taliban fighters and members of Fitna Al Khawarij during a two-day operation conducted along multiple fronts.
According to security sources, ground and aerial operations were carried out on March 14 and 15 under Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq.
Security officials said that during the two-day operation, 684 Afghan Taliban fighters were killed, while 912 militants linked to the Afghan Taliban and Fitna Al Khawarij were injured.
Pakistani security forces also targeted several militant installations located in border areas during the operations.
The sources stated that the Pakistan Army destroyed 252 Afghan Taliban posts and captured 44 others during the action.
Heavy weaponry was also targeted during the operation. As a result, 229 tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery pieces were destroyed.
Meanwhile, 73 militants were killed in air strikes conducted during the campaign.
