Lahore sessions court on Thursday extended the interim bail of YouTuber Rajab Butt and other accused until March 17 in a case related to the alleged illegal promotion of a gambling app, and adjourned the hearing.

Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak appeared before Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed Qureshi along with their lawyer, Rana Maroof Advocate.

During the hearing, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) submitted its investigation report to the court and said the mobile phone of Rajab Butt had been sent for forensic examination, with the final report still awaited.

The investigation officer requested more time from the court, saying the forensic report had not yet been received.

According to the investigation officer, Nadeem Mubarak is neither nominated in the case nor has any notice been issued to him.

The NCCIA registered the case against the accused over the alleged illegal promotion of gambling applications.

Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed Qureshi heard the interim bail plea and extended the bail of the accused until March 17.
