Punjab PDMA issues alert as temperatures set to rise
1 min readThe Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab on Thursday issued an alert warning of rising temperatures across the province.
A spokesperson said a significant increase in temperature is expected in the plains over the next few days, with temperatures projected to rise by six to eight degrees Celsius. The PDMA said the surge in heat could impact human health and crops.
Meanwhile, the department warned of possible rain accompanied by thunder in the upper and northern regions.
The Rain is forecast in the upper areas on March 6 and 7, while northern areas may experience rainfall from March 9 to 11.
Director General of PDMA has instructed relevant agencies to remain alert and implement pre-emptive measures to address potential impacts.
