PTI moves SC for Imran Khan’s transfer to Shifa Hospital
1 min readThe Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Wednesday filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking the transfer of former prime minister Imran Khan to Shifa Hospital in Islamabad for medical treatment.
The petition also sought PTI founder’s access to his personal physicians.
The petition, submitted by the PTI founder’s counsel, Latif Khosa, said that Imran Khan be immediately shifted to Shifa Hospital and examined by a specialist ophthalmologist for his eye infection.
The plea urged the court to grant access to the PTI founder’s personal physicians — Dr Faisal Sultan and Dr Asim Yousaf — so they may oversee his medical examination and treatment.
The petition said the PTI founder should be examined under the supervision of his personal doctors, and arrangements should be made without delay to ensure appropriate medical care.
The PTI application comes after Imran Khan recently underwent a follow-up treatment for his eye infection at the PIMS Hospital in Islamabad.
The application said that Imran Khan’s family members be duly informed and granted access during his medical check-up and treatment.
The petition requested that Imran Khan’s lawyer be provided with copies of medical reports and checkups of the PTI founder.
