Pakistan Football Federation President Mohsin Gilani met Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki on Friday to discuss increasing cooperation in football between the two countries, officials said.

During the meeting, the Saudi ambassador reiterated full support for the promotion and development of football, adding that enhanced cooperation would help advance the game.

Gilani said that training programmes and friendly matches between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would give new momentum to football development in both countries.
