TCS Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Japan’s Nippon Express Group to strengthen logistics services and trade connectivity in Pakistan, marking a significant development for the country’s logistics sector.

Under the agreement, Nippon Express (South Asia & Oceania) Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of Nippon Express Holdings, Inc., has acquired a minority stake in TCS Logistics (Private) Limited.

The partnership will allow Pakistani businesses and consumers greater access to global markets through Nippon Express Group’s international network, while Nippon Express will leverage TCS Logistics’ nationwide infrastructure and customer base to expand its operations in Pakistan.

“This partnership with Nippon Express is a landmark moment for TCS and Pakistan’s logistics sector. It reflects international confidence in Pakistan’s market fundamentals and enhances our ability to deliver world-class supply chain solutions that connect Pakistani businesses to the global economy,” said Saira Awan, President, TCS Group.

With more than four decades of operations, TCS Logistics provides domestic transportation, warehousing, distribution and cross-border logistics services across Pakistan. The company aims to modernise the logistics ecosystem through technology-enabled and value-added supply chain solutions.

In a statement, Nippon Express said the partnership would help strengthen logistics operations in Pakistan and enhance trade corridors to Central Asia by developing new services and identifying emerging market needs.

Operating in over 50 countries and regions, Nippon Express Group is among the world’s leading logistics conglomerates, offering comprehensive air, sea and land freight services.

The partnership is expected to facilitate imports and exports, support regional trade corridors and highlight the role of foreign investment in strengthening Pakistan’s logistics and supply chain infrastructure.
